Study Method:
Small group tuition, tutor led with IT Support. Courses are held in either Barking Town Centre or Rush Green.
Duration :12 weeks for 1 evening per week, Monday to Thursday
Who the Course is For:
Improve your Maths Skills. This course is ideal for those wanting to update their skills before entering into Further Education or employment, or for those just wanting to brush up on their skills.
Assessment:
Nationally recognised qualification in Maths. To be taken when the learner and tutor feel ready.
Course Leads To:
City and Guilds Adult Certificate in Numeracy
Entry Requirements:
No formal qualifications required, only commitment and enthusiasm
Content:
During the course you will develop and improve your numeracy skills. Teaching will focus on the areas that you require, having completed your own individual learning plan. These areas will include number, measure, shape and space and handling data.
In the small groups different learning resources will be used including paper based, tactile and ICT.
You will work towards gaining a recognised City & Guilds qualification.
Having achieved an accreditation you can then progress on to the next level up to and including Level 2.
