Stone Therapy Diploma Level 3

Course Overview
Hot stone therapy involves the careful application of smooth water-heated basalt stones to key points on the body. The direct heat relaxes the muscles, resulting in improved massage effectiveness and intensity than it would be otherwise. The size of the stones varies, according to which part of the body they're being used on. The stones are coated in fragrant oil to increase the sense of relaxation and calm.

Course Structure
This programme is delivered over 18 weeks at 3 hours per week. 6pm - 9pm

Qualification Aims
VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Stone Therapy

Assessments/Examinations
Continual written and pracical assessments / assignments in both theory and practical aspects of the course. Practical assessments are carrried out in a realistic work environment (RWE) on fee-paying clients.

Requirement
Level 3 Body Massage and VTCT Health & Safety or equivalent. Target testing (attainment relating to level). Satisfactory school or college report or references. A knowledge of and interest in massage therapy is essential and will be assessed at interview. As part of the entry requirements it is important to note that, as this is a service industry, students must meet the demands of the course which include good interpersonal and communication skills, personal hygiene, health requirements and positive personal attributes.
