Course programme
Course Aims:
To introduce the student to the basic use of Studio Photography.
Course Content:
The course will include the following;
Lighting,
The use of medium format cameras,
Digital capture,
Black & White and Colour printing,
A range of projects will be set covering a range of themes e.g. Set up and photograph of,
A product,
Portraiture,
Food photography etc.
Progression:
GCSE Photography, AS Photography, there are also a wide range of part-time and full-time courses available across the Faculty.

NCFE
Exam:
Assessment is informal and ongoing. Students will produce a portfolio of work showing completion/evidence of three mandatory units which are assessed by the tutor and verified by an external NCFE moderator.
Qualification:
NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Creative Craft (Studio Photography)

Other Costs:
There will be a 20 materials cost per student and students will also be provided with a list of materials needed during the first session. Film and paper can be purchased at a reduced price from the college.
Duration:
60 Guided Learning Hours (Typically over 20-30 weeks per year depending on location)
