The aim of this particular course is to educate, as it is a somewhat taboo subject, and to raise awareness about the issues involved with both suicide and self-harm as well as the differences between the two. Suitable for: Professionals, service users and carers to provide an insight into the crisis situations faced by patients and how they are affected by it. Such professionals who may encounter such people can include medical staff, community mental health teams, social workers, residential workers, counsellors, youth workers, prison staff, emergency services and helpline workers.
