This foundation degree is for workers and volunteers in 'paraprofessional' areas who support teaching and learning. This may be in classrooms as learning support assistants or teaching assistants, or in related roles, such as learning mentors linked to schools or colleges.
Modules explore subjects such as the world of education, ways of supporting learners with additional educational needs, and psychological, social and emotional influences on behaviour.
This foundation degree is offered by one of the university's partner colleges: London South East Colleges, on its Bromley Campus.

About this course
One A-level or equivalent vocational Level 3 qualification such as NVQ3 or BTEC National Diploma
GCSE English language/literature and mathematics at grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent
You must be aged 18 or over at the start of the course and working or volunteering in an educational setting
You will need Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
