An NVQ assesses a persons competence (the skills, knowledge and understanding they have) in a work situation. Based on national occupational standards.
About the Course
Students attend every week for the first four weeks, then fortnightly thereafter.
Students must demonstrate that they have the skills, knowledge and understanding detailed in the NVQ units of competence.
There are five mandatory units that each students must achieve. In addition, each student is required to achieve two optional units out of a choice of twelve.

* To qualify candidates to work with teachers in the learning process
* Development of new skills
* Recognition of existing skills
* Give a clear understanding of responsibilities
