About this course

Before taking their end-point assessment, apprentices must achieve level 2 English and maths (equivalent to GCSEs at grades A* to C). We have an extensive support package available, including college attendance to functional skills classes and an online teaching and learning platform, which guides students from an initial and a diagnostic assessment, through to being exam ready.

Year 1

The level 3 apprenticeship program will require you to develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours in a professional environment and achieve a series of standards to prove your competence in leading people, building relationships, communication, operational management, project management and finance.
You will also start to gain evidence for your e- portfolio.

Year 2

Develop a range of essential management skills applied and refined in a real working environment. Build the leadership capability to motivate teams and influence with confidence. Gain a broad understanding of key management and leadership theory to underpin and support growth and performance.

Additional information

On-programme is the learning phase for apprentices to pick up the skills, knowledge and behaviours set in each standard. Apprentices need to complete 20% off-the-job training during the on-programme phase of their apprenticeship. You can track and monitor the 20% through our e-portfolio. On program assessment includes: • regular assessment (involving employer and training provider) • development of a portfolio demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace. • successful completion of management diploma level 3 End Point Assessment End-point assessment (EPA) is the final stage that an apprentice goes through to complete their apprenticeship. The apprentice must show their learning to an independent end-point assessor and the grades available are distinction, pass or fail. The EPA consists of: • test of knowledge using scenarios with questions • competency-based interview • assessment of a portfolio of evidence • professional discussion relating to CPD activity.
