This practical course will guide you through more professional processes in 3D character model design using a range of materials and processes for the production of your articulated model, incorporating, different facial expressions, mouth shapes, articulated movement and costume. You will develop skills in the professional processes of all the steps in making your own 3D Model animation short film including planning and storyboarding your film, designing and producing a professional 3D model puppet and animating, filming and editing your own short 3D animation film.

Our high definition cameras and the latest professional equipment and software are available for your use throughout the course. It would be useful to bring a memory stick (or portable hard drive – please note PC formatted hard drives can be read by Apple mac computers, but not written to.).
You will be taught using a range of techniques including workshops, short lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, tutorials, group and individual assistance and hand-outs. Please note the City Lit uses Apple Mac computers in Animation, Cartooning, Digital arts, Film, Graphics, Illustration, Photography and Web design.
