What will I learn?
This course is made up of a variety of units covering topics including: Worldwide Travel and Tourism, Promoting Travel and Tourism, Exploring Travel and Tourism, Investigating Visitor Attractions, Package Holidays, Airports and Airlines and a range of other units. As well as learning about employment in travel and tourism you will develop the skills you need to start a career in the industry. You will develop Key Skills in Communication, numeracy and IT.

How will I be taught?
This is a pracitcal work related course where you learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. Visits are an integral part of the course and may include trips to attractions and destinations in both the UK and overseas.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by continous portfolio work assignments. The assignments are internally marked and externally moderated by OCR. Assignments are graded Pass, Merit of Distinction.

What could I do next?
You could progress to the OCR National Diploma in Travel and Tourism (subject to gaining a Merit grade): employment in the travel and tourism industry e.g. travel agent, tour operator, transport operator, etc.
