What will I learn?
This qualification is equivalent to two A Levels and carries UCAS points. It is made up ofa wide range of units looking at a varitey of aspects of the modern travel and tourism industry. You will have the opportunity to gain additional travel qualificaitons alongside the main units of study. It is a practical work related course where you learn by completing pojects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you will develop the skills you need to start a career in the industry. There will be a range of visits organised throughout the course, which in recent years have included visits abroad and residential trips to Eire, Spain, New York, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. You will develop Key Skills in: Communication and IT.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by continous portfolio work assignments. The assignments are internally marked and externally moderated by OCR. Assignments are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction.

What could I do next?
You could progress to Higher Education, employment or training courses in the travel and tourism industry.
