Course description The course will provide you with an excellent knowledge of areas needed for a career in the travel industry.  Over the 2 years, you will study a range of different units, all aimed at equipping you with the vital skills that employers are searching for.  Units you will study include:  - Tourist destinations - Customer service  - Retail travel  - Event management  - Holiday representatives  - Cruise - Visitor attractions  The course also includes a residential trip.   ncn works in partnership with Capital FM Arena to ensure that you gain real work experience in areas such as catering, crewing, event set-up, event management and front of house hospitality.

Entry requirements You must have ONE of the following:      5 GCSEs at grades A*-C, including English or maths or equivalent     Level 2 City & Guilds Diploma in The Aviation Environment at merit, plus GCSE English or maths at grades A*-C      Level 2 City & Guilds in Travel & Tourism at merit, plus GCSE English or maths at grades A*-C  Equivalent qualifications - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE maths and/or English  If you are over 19 but have industry experience and do not have the necessary qualifications you are welcome to apply and will be considered for interview. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You will be asked to take part in an externally set scenario-based assessment alongside practical and written assignments.
