Course programme
Stress is what happens to your body when you are under pressure. A little bit of pressure can be productive, give you motivation, and help you to perform better at something. But, too much or prolonged pressure can lead to stress -which is unhealthy for the mind and body.
The course is intended for anyone who wishes to find out about the reality of stress, how it affects health and family life - and how to take control of it. It is aimed at people who want to understand why stress can overtake even the hardiest of people and why two people in the same situation may react very differently. This is not a course which simply suggests relaxation or exercise as a "cure".
We will take a hard nosed view of what is needed to avoid a potentially serious or fatal condition.
What will the course cover and how will it be taught?
The course will begin by agreeing what participants would like to cover - to reflect their particular interests and issues.
