What will you be learning?
This course can lead to work as a body refinisher or body repairer technician. Depending on the specialism you choose, you will cover both theory and practical aspects of a selection of the following modules: Preparing vehicle panels to accept foundation and topcoats; preparing and applying foundation materials to vehicles; repairing minor paint defects; removing and fitting non-welded non-structural body panels; removing and replacing non-structural body panels and health and safety in the workplace.

You will be assessed throughout the year on practical tasks, written exams and tests.

After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto a Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Body and Paint Operations - Refinishing/Body Repair (IMI) or find employment as a body refinishing/repair technician.
