About the course:
The aim of this course is to enable the candidates to service and repair motor vehicles to a complex level. The course covers the following:

• Transmission
• Vehicle servicing and repair techniques
• Engine (and associated systems)
• Brakes
• Steering
• Suspension
• Vehicle Electrics

Course Content:
This course can be studied with specialisms in either light vehicle (cars) or heavy vehicle (coaches, lorries and buses).

Equipment Requirements:
Suitable boots and overalls will be required for the workshop practical sessions.

Assessment:
Students will be required to build a portfolio of evidence obtained from carrying out workshop practical tasks and from theory sessions delivered in the classroom.
