What will you be learning?
This course is a pre-apprenticeship course that provides essential knowledge for service technicians working on motorcyles in all types of garages and dealerships.
This course consists of: Motorcycle construction and routine maintenance; operating principles of motorcycle engines, tyres, brakes, steering and suspension systems; operating principles and maintenance of motorcycle transmission systems and electrical and electronic systems, assembling new motorcycles and health and safety in the workplace. You will be assessed by practical and written assessments and online tests.
What happens when you have finished?
After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto a Level 2 course such as the Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Motorcycle (IMI) or an Apprenticeship.
