All cultures respect the world of Story, The ability to tell Stories, in a variety of settings, is a skill that has seen a strong resurgence, both in the workplace, and in contemporary performance. We all like to hear stories! This course will help you to tell them, short, long, traditional, anecdotal, personal, fairytales, fables,…they all require the key ingredient of confidence, and a basic understanding of structure.

Course programme
* Performance Skills and Communication Essentials
* Understanding Narrative Structure
* How to feel safe while being spontaneous
* How to ‘visualise’ your Stories as you tell them
* How to get to grips with ‘less is more’, as a performer.
* Enriching vocabulary, and being aware of ‘rhythm’.
Group pair and individual work as directed by the tutor. Some planning for the next class may be required.
