Literature-Serious Reading for Pleasure

Course content:
This is a reading and discussion class. Students read 100 pages of chosen texts at home each week to discuss in class. Poetry, short stories and plays are also read in class.
You will be able to discuss with confidence the themes and characters in the book list for the term.

Course Structure:
A range of reading at home and in class. Class discussion. The weekly class discussion is based on the home reading with the main contribution coming from the students. The teacher will introduce related poetry short stories and some class play readings.

Course resources:
Books will all be available in paperback or from the library. All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
You DO NOT have to pay a college registration fee for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.Materials costs:
