Why choose this course?
- adult safeguarding is integral to all adult health and care services
- CSCI and the Supporting People team will require staff to be trained and understand adult safeguarding or protection
- staff can become used to institutionalised practices and not realise that they are abusing and neglecting vulnerable users of the service
- staff can have accepted 'strange' behaviour from members of a person's family, friends or community without realising that this is abuse or neglect
- positive results~ staff evaluate their practice in line with No secrets, DoH 2000, standards are raised, users of the service received better treatment and staff are reassured that they are working with integrity, humanity and professionalism
