Vulnerable Adults at Risk, A Basic Awareness in Adult Safeguarding

• adult safeguarding is integral to all adult health and care services
• CSCI and the Supporting People team will require staff to be trained and understand adult safeguarding or protection
• staff can become used to institutionalised practices and not realise that they are abusing and neglecting vulnerable users of the service

Time: 9.30 - 4.30 Please note that in exceptional circumstances this course can be delivered in half a day but will not be as effective as the full day.

Nature of training:

• Exercises will range from lecture style input to discussion and small group work.
• Hand outs will be provided to reinforce all theoretical input.
• This course will be reinforced by a booklet and workbook and by the use of video.
