Examine how the news media and advertising techniques influence our thoughts and emotions. Learn to tell the difference between information and opinion. Explore the world of conspiracy theories and 'fake news', and why people are attracted to religious and political beliefs as ways of making sense of the world. Identify how our perceptions are shaped by the culture, gender and families we grew up in. Look at different art movements as ways of seeing the world differently.
