A college certificated, one-day* course designed to promote health and safety awareness and the safe use of machinery. This course can be delivered either at your premises or within the fully equipped college workshop.

Upon completion of the course employees will:

·        Be aware of their duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.

·        Be aware of the requirements of Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998 and other relevant regulations.

·          Be aware of the specific risks associated with the use of the machines.

·          Understand the purpose and importance of protective and preventative measures.

·        Be competent in safely setting up and operating woodworking machines.

*This course or any of the others listed can also be tailored to suit the particular requirements of the company or individual.
