Course programme
You will be introduced to a range of artists and their sources of inspiration ranging from everyday life, to landscape, colour and visionary experience. Each session will offer some skills input e.g. on the qualities of ink, acrylic paint, charcoal, compressed charcoal, chalk and water-soluble graphite. We will explore colour, gesture, scale, ways of developing your own subject matter, and means of articulating your experience directly through the medium of drawing and painting. You will develop a toolkit of drawing and painting methods and ideas that will inform your work into the future. There will be a short guided meditation each day to aid concentration in your painting practice.
