Course content:
This course will give you the opportunity to experiment with a variety of crafts and produce items to take home.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Use the tools and machinery required safely
- Design and fulfil projects using the skills learnt
- Describe the process used to complete your project
The skills learnt will be based on papier mâché, paint effects, découpage, electric fretsaw work, glass work to include copper foiling and mosaics. There is no sewing or fabric craft. Each term's course is planned and developed according to the interests and inspiration of the students.
Course Structure:
This practical course includes weekly demonstrations and 1 to 1 tuition in the well lit specialist craft room.

Well equipped workroom All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

When information is available you will notice 2 different fees stated for this course. The fee you pay is dependent on your status:
Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
You DO NOT have to pay a college registration fee for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.Materials costs:
