To enable staff:
· To inspect and report on the condition of workshop hand tools to the standards laid down by the company.
· To be familiar with current health & safety regulations (PUWER Regs 1998).
· Understand relevant statutory legislation.
Content:
1. The company safety policy.
2. Legal aspects.
3. Information, instruction and record keeping.
4. Risk assessment.
5. Control and monitoring.
6. Recognition, types and sizes, application, manipulation, condition and safety relevant to the use of the normal workshop hand tools.
7. Selection of small workshop hand tools.
8. Report writing.
