Wound Care and Management for NCAs

Our clinical update courses are advanced and specialist and are designed to keep qualified nurses and physiotherapists aware of the latest research, theory and information in relation to the management of specific conditions.

This course will look at the following:

• Intrinsic and extrinsic factors of pressure sores.
• Common sites for pressure sores.
• Risk assessment.
• Prevention of pressure sores.
• Assessment of wounds and wound classification.
• Wound management.
• The healing process.
• Wounds and their treatment.
• Modern wound dressings and their usage.

Half day courses usually run from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. / 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
