What is the Assessors Award course?
This course is about good assessment practice. It is for NVQ assessors, or potential assessors, who can identify at least three candidates of different abilities and levels of confidence who must be working towards an NVQ award in a work situation that would allow your assessment practice to be monitored.
Before enrolling on this course you must have proof that you possess a qualification at a suitable level, preferably an NVQ, although other qualifications are acceptable. This will be discussed with you at your interview.
NB An interview is required before you can enrol on this course .

The course is very practical. You will be involved in one to one sessions with your tutor/assessor.
NB You will need to carry out much of the work necessary to complete the portfolio in your own time.
Assessment details
Assessment is by means of a portfolio of evidence which you have gathered, written answers to questions, observations of a candidate in the workplace and a professional discussion with your assessor.

This is a Learning & Skills Council (LSC) funded course and you may be exempt from the tuition fee, however, you would be required to pay the registration fee at the time of application.
