C (Rigid Truck) Training

This is the most popular HGV licence in the UK. This is the entry level HGV licence. Every town in the UK has hundreds of deliveries being made every day in one of these vehicles. The average Cat C vehicle is an 18 tonne rigid. The course is over 5 days with the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) test on the fifth day. Firstly, you take a medical after which you must apply for the provisional entitlement for the category you wish to take. You must pass the Theory test and case study before you can take the course and DSA test.
