Students will be in a position to gain employment in organisations where spoken and written Irish is a requirement. Students may progress to study a BA degree in Irish. The course can also be seen as a free-standing unit in its own right which will open up third year education to a wider audience. This course is suitable for Students must normally have attained a pass in one subject at GCE 'A' Level or equivalent and five passes at GCSE grade C or above or equivalent. Applicants who do not meet these requirements may be considered on individual merit and are encouraged to apply.

DIPLOMA IN THE IRISH LANGUAGE

Who is this course for?

Students must normally have attained a pass in one subject at GCE 'A' Level or equivalent and five passes at GCSE grade C or above or equivalent. Applicants who do not meet these requirements may be considered on individual merit and are encouraged to apply.

How long is this course for?
2 years, Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.30 - 9 pm
What will I study?
This part-time course represents an exciting opportunity for a wide range of people to study the Irish language from a totally fresh beginning.

The aim of the course is to bring students to a high level of competence in spoken and written Irish by the end of the two-year course. Mature students are particularly welcome.
