This is a practical, hands-on, vocational, student orientated course, where the student will partially decide the content in collaboration with the Lecturer. This course is fundamentally about hardware.
Entry on to this course is via interview with the course tutors.

What will I study?
Students cover a range of subject areas including:
· Help Desk Duties
· Fault Finding
· Software Installation and Customisation
· Hardware Installation and Customisation
· Systems Security
Assessment is via portfolio evidence, there is no external assessment.

What next?
Students who successfully complete this course may choose to continue their studies with a Level 3 qualification before moving on to Higher Education, or to enter employment at a suitable level e.g. a Help Desk Assistant.
Progression on to the Level 3 course is via interview with the course team.
