Course description
This is a single unit at level 5 from the DTLLS qualification. The aim is to enable candidates to integrate literacy, language and numeracy into teaching and learning of other subjects. It has a value of 6 credits. Candidates will understand the relevance and significance of literacy, language and numeracy skills and be able to understand and apply current principles and practice of embedding these skills within other learning contexts.

Entry requirements
Candidates must have English skills at level 3 and Maths skills at level 2. Candidates must also be teaching in a setting where they will be able to apply techniques from the course.
