Positive Behaviour Management

This training package has been accredited by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD).

Staff are trained to respond to instances of challenging behaviour. Positive Behaviour Management strategies are to be used as a last resort and not as an easy means of control. The strategies are all non-aversive, do not inflict pain, and focus on the least intrusive means of enabling the service user to regain self control.

Train the Trainers

This training is delivered as a 10 day course divided into three blocks of five days, two days and a three day passing out block. The training is usually completed within three months of commencement. Trainers must undergo mandatory annual refresher training.

Direct Care Staff

Training is delivered via two or three day courses.
