What will I learn?
This course is suitable for those intested in a career in the sport and leisure industries. There are 12 units to this course, all of which must be successfully completed to achieve the qualification. The units cover a wide variety of areas which will give you an introduction to leisure and tourism with a specific focus on sport. They include: Developing Sports Skills, Promoting Healthy Lifestyles and Taking Part in Outdoor Activities. There will also be a wide variety of topics covered in the classroom as well as in realistic working environments. You will develop Key Skills in Communication, Application of Number and IT.

How will I be taught?
There will be a mixture of practical, work based and classroom taught activities.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by continous portfolio work assignments and online multiple choice assessments for Key Skills. The portfolio work is a mixture of research, written assignments or practical tasks supported by written reports.

What could I do next?
You could progress to Level 2 courses e.g. OCR National Certificate in Sport. Employment or training in the sport and leisure industries.
