What is this course about? Working with young people aged 11-25

Who is this course for? It is for people who have limited experience of youth work and want an access route to a qualification.

What do I need to get on the course? A good standard of English at least Level 1. You MUST have paid or voluntary employment working with young people aged 11-25

What will I study? You will be looking at working with young people in a variety of settings. How to establish relationships, engage with young people and work as an effective and reflective practitioner. Supporting young people to develop and deliver workshops and projects. Helping young people to tackle problems and take action. Working in ways that promote the equality of opportunity, participation and responsibility. How to advocate on behalf of young people and safeguard their welfare.

What qualification will I get? NVQ Level 2 in Youth Work

What can I do after the course? You can study on a Level 3 course or gain employment
