WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
You will look at how we communicate with each other. This course will particularly benefit those who use communication skills in their everyday work environment, and people who are interested in finding out what counselling is about.

Induction and Introduction to Counselling
Introduction to the Person Centred Approach
Self Awareness
Active Listening and Verbal Communications
Empathy Stage One
Power issues in Counselling
Putting it All Together
An awareness of two other modes of counselling
Overview of two other models of therapy
Endings

WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
You will need to attend the first session and classes are held on:

(3t932-09) Monday 9.30 am - 12.30 pm or
(3t908-09) Thursday 6.30 pm - 9.30pm

You will also need to complete a minimum of 85% attendance.

WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
Upon succesful completion, you will achieve the ABC Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Concepts.

You can move onto the next level courses, which is the Foundation Certificate in Counselling (CTI). The course is also a useful grounding in study, which you could use in other programme areas.
