The Disability Discrimination Act (accommodation and inclusion). NICE guidance. Best practice and action planning. Suitable for: This course is available as an in-house workshop. It is particularly appropriate for meeting the requirements of current initiatives including Aiming High for Disabled Children, NICE guideline compliance, and the delivery of Local Authority outcomes relating to the inclusion of young people with disabilities in mainstream services. Approprate to a wide range of services and settings including Connexions,Youth Offending and Social Services.

Carol Weston is the director of ADD Excellence and is an International Speaker and Training Consultant. Carol brings over 15 years of experience in working with children,young people and families in the voluntary sector,private practice and as ADHD Consultant in both social care and education settings. Carol is particularly interested in reducing the social and educational exclusion experienced by young people with ADHD by reducing the risks associated with this often misunderstood neuro-developmental disorder.

This one-day workshop is suitable for practitioners supporting young men and their families whether in Universal Services or supporting young people who arerecognised as being more vulnerable and "At Risk ".
