About this course
An average of Grade C for 4 or more GCSEs or you will have successfully completed a level 2 programme. You may also be asked to demonstrate your commitment and skills in an interview. If you dont have the required entry qualifications there will be an opportunity for you to demonstrate your abilities to undertake the course.

Description of the Course
The Association of Accounting Technicians is the professional organisation for accounting technicians. It provides a recognised qualification and a membership body for accounting support staff working in accounting practice, industry and commerce and the public sector.
Course content
The framework consists of:
· Maintaining financial records and preparing accounts (exam)
· Recording and evaluating costs and revenues (exam)
· Preparing reports and returns
· Working with computers
· Health & Safety
· Employment Rights and Responsibilities
· Key Skills Level 2 in Application of numbers and communication Assessment
Written assessments, portfolio building, two central exams.
Who is the course for?
Anyone working, a minimum of 16 hours per week paid employment, in the Accounting field
Entry requirements
An average of Grade C for 4 or more GCSEs or you will have successfully completed a level 2 programme. You may also be asked to demonstrate your commitment and skills in an interview. If you dont have the required entry qualifications there will be an opportunity for you to demonstrate your abilities to undertake the course.
What can I do after this course?
AAT Technician (NVQ Level 4). Students intending to become members of the Association need to acquire accreditation at all stages.
Other information
This course incur no fees for 16-18 year old and £60 contribution from employer towards professional fees and exam.
Car Park fee £1.00 per visit, stay subject to spaces being available.
