  • Module 2: Advanced CBT protocols for the assessment and treatment of anxiety
This module will equip you with the assessment and treatment protocols and techniques required to handle generalised anxiety disorder, health anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, panic (with and without agoraphobia), obsessive compulsive disorder and PTSD.
  • Module 3: Advanced CBT protocols for the assessment and treatment of depression, suicidality and low self esteem
This module will enable you to handle depression, suicidality and low self-esteem by teaching assessment techniques for an accurate depiction of depression and suicidality. It will look at CBT models for depression and rumination and it will also enable you to facilitate clients to raise their level of self-esteem.
Year 2
  • Module 4: Classic and metacognitive approaches for the treatment of complex presentations
This module will equip you in third wave CBT (Mindfulness, ACT, and compassion focused CBT and metacognitive therapy). It will also look at using both classic CBT and metacognitive CBT across diagnoses. Complex presentations will include eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, clinical perfectionism, personality disorder and psychosis among others.
  • Module 5: Introduction to positive psychology
The module introduces you to the science of happiness and well-being. It looks at the theory and research that underpins the discipline of positive psychology. It will help you identify your own strengths and values and purposes from a positive psychology perspective and will enable you to search for strengths in people who commonly suffer from depression, anxiety and other mental health issues.
  • Module 6: CBT interventions for the development of resilience and flourishing
Concepts of resilience in the face of adversity and flourishing will be explored and you'll develop your own personal model of resilience (PMR) which you can then learn to develop in your clients.

All modules are assessed by a mix of case studies, audio tapes and self-reflective essays.
