This course is accredited by the Institute of Hospitality and will give you the opportunity to develop the specialist skills and knowledge needed for management within the global hotel industry.

On this course you will learn about the management of hotel products and services in a global economy, and we will encourage you to develop a strategic approach to the ever-changing business, economic and social demands placed on the international hotel sector.

All of our teaching staff are experienced hospitality practitioners, with many undertaking research, and others are recognised authors.

We aim to build your knowledge of restaurant management with food and beverage modules, as well as broadening your understanding of the service industry’s global operations.
Additionally, you will gain valuable work experience in your one-year work placement. The placement can be in any area of the hospitality industry either in the UK or abroad, and allows you gain essential skills learned through working in an operating business.

Entry requirements
You will need 72 UCAS tariff points from Level 3 qualifications. These can include:
A Levels at grade B and C or D,D,D
BTEC Extended Diploma with Merit, Merit, Pass
Access to HE Diploma
You also need GCSE English and Maths (grade A*-C) or Level 2 equivalents.

Course detail
On this course, you will learn about the management of hotel products and services and you will be encouraged to develop a strategic approach to the ever-changing business, economic and social demands placed on the industry.

You will undertake study in both practical and theoretical subjects with many opportunities to interact with the hotel industry through competitions, guest speakers, industry mentoring programmes and both external and internal events.
You will also complete a work placement, which should be undertaken with an international hotel or hospitality company, in a country other than your own. Prior relevant work experience may be accredited towards this.
