Course programme

The EDI Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering in an industry recognised qualification and has been developed with the Sector Skills Council People 1st. Under UK legislation, anyone who handles food as part of their job role should be supervised and instructed and/or trained in food hygiene, relevant to their work activity. The Food Standards Agency regularly reports increases in the number of cases of food poisoning and are very keen to see improvement in food safety, hence the need for this type of qualification.

This qualification is recommended for all open food handlers.
