Course Content
This course is designed with flexibility to meet the various needs and abilities of school leavers with severe learning difficulties and/or disabilities who wish to continue their education in a college of Further Education. Individual additional support is available wherever there is an identified need.
A range of topics are covered including:
Working Together, Making Progress, Solving Problems, Using I.C.T., Communication and Using Numbers. These skills and experiences are embedded throughout the course via community access, leisure activities, preparing simple snack meals, communication, numeracy and ICT workshops. In addition learners will experience further enrichment activities including a programme of art, music and drama.

Assessment
Students†progress is assessed during classroom activities throughout the programme. They can achieve accreditation from the Northern Council of Further Education.
