Course Overview
To enable teaching staff to support the learning needs of deaf / hearing impaired learners. Tutors working with learners with other communication disorders might also find this course beneficial. Course content: Basic signing communication and Deaf Awareness.

Course Structure
22 weeks, one 2-hour session per week.

Qualification Aims
BSL Level 1; awarding body: CACDP.

Assessments/Examinations
There are 3 exams: until 101, unit 102 and unit 103.
