Do you see yourself as a presenter, director, camera operator, editor, animator, teacher, photographer or journalist? Or working in any industry that requires strong communication skills, confidence, creative thinking and entrepreneurship? If so, this could be the course for you. During your studies you will work in our specialist radio, animation, editing and TV studios, participating in regular skills and technique classes, master-classes, enrichment, competitions and work experience.

Course programme
Your studies will include:
- Different types of ‘shots’ for video and photography
- Editing images using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Script writing
- Animation techniques
- Working in a TV studio on a multi-camera shoot
- Technical equipment for TV production
- Using software such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- Research and planning for a single camera production.
- Independently create a music video
- Create a show reel of your work
- Learn how to manage creative processes for a production for moving image, journalism or radio
- Create a radio drama and learn how to edit audio using Audition software
- Make a media product; a short film, a magazine, a photography portfolio, a radio show or a short animation.
You will be assessed through practical assignments and live projects for example productions, films, documentaries and presentations.
The media team have excellent industry links and through these we offer all students the opportunities to work with specialists.
