Course programme
This hands on course encourages individuality and you will have the opportunity to experiment with materials, techniques and processes through a range of projects. As you progress on the course you will gain a better understanding of your strengths and interests as well as identify pathways in which you can specialise your skills. You will develop a portfolio of creative ideas and work exploring the following areas:
- drawing and painting
- generating and developing fine art ideas and concepts
- 3D materials - ceramics, metal and plaster
- sculpture
- printmaking
- image making (including digital media)
- design crafts
- mixed media textiles
Entry Requirements
- A minimum of five GCSEs grade A*-C including English language and an art, design or a craft related subject, and maths at grade D or above, or
- a level 2 art and design qualification at overall merit grade, English at level 2 and maths at level 1.
You will need a strong portfolio of art and design work which shows your enthusiasm for the subject.
