BTEC First Diploma IT Practitioners. It is equivalent to 4 GCSE's, grades A*-C.
On successful achievement at Merit or Distinction Level, you could progress onto the BTEC National Diploma IT Practitioners.
What is the course about?
BTEC First Diploma for ICT Practitioners consists of six units, 2 core units and 4 specialist units. The specialist units enable you to study a particular area in more depth.
All students take the 2 core units:
·Introduction to computer systems
·Using IT to present information.
You also take 4 specialist units:
·Software Design and Development
·Database - Spreadsheet software
·Website Development
·Numerical applications.
The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Firsts for ICT Practitioners has been developed to provide opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes for successful performance in working life.
This full time qualification is ideal for school leavers or young people up to the age of 19 years old, who would like to develop a variety of ICT skills at Level 2.
