Whether you wish to work in a large organisation or you have ambitions of starting your own business, this A level gives you an understanding of how business works. You will investigate how organisations provide the goods and services that customers will use and the role of the business organisation in a modern economy. You will focus on the key areas of business activity, including financial management, marketing, personnel and production management. A key theme running through the course will be the promotion of enterprise activities in a modern economy.

Entry Requirements

You will need to have a minimum of five academic GCSE subjects at grade C or above, including B a mathematics.

Delivery and Assessment

The course is assessed through external examinations which will take place at the end of the first and second year of study. You will complete two exams in the first year and two exams in the second year.

Progression

Successful completion of the course will open up many opportunities including progress onto university level education, employment and apprenticeships. You will be able to pursue a range of business related careers in areas such as marketing, human resources, finance and operations management
