Students are expected be working in a management role within either a manufacturing or service business, and to normally have a minimum of 2 years management experience. It would be helpful to have completed the ILM Level 2 Award and Certificate in Team Leading beforehand.

Course Content:
The course covers various options, including: Communication and motivation, problem solving techniques, time management, setting and achieving objectives, dealing with change, leadership.
Students are expected to take part in various group activities. Assessment includes a practical problem-solving project, normally within the student¿s workplace.
Progression:
With appropriate experience students can progress onto other management related courses.
