Who is the course for?
The course is for candidates who have supervisory / team leading responsibilitles within a production environment.

What is the course about?
The candidate is required to complete all 6 mandatory units plus 1 from Group A and 2 Optional Units which may come from the Level 3 Quality Improvement pathway:

Mandatory
* Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements
* Contributing to effective team working
* Leading effective teams
* Applying workplace organisation techniques
* Applying continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen)
* Creating visual management systems

Group A
* Creating flexible production and manpower systems
* Carrying out problem solving activities

Optional Units
* Creating flexible production and manpwer systems
* Analysing and selecting parts for improvements
* Carrying out lead time analysis
* Carrying out Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
* Applying set-up reduction techniques
* Applying Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
* Carrying out Statistical Process Control procedures (SPC)
* Applying flow process analysis
* Applying policy development (HOSHIN KANRI)
* Applying value management (value engineering & value analysis)
* Carrying out potential Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
* Carrying out Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
* Carrying out mistake / error proofing (Poka Yoke)
* Creating standard operating procedures
* Carrying out problem solving activities

How will I be assessed?
A Riverside College Halton assessor visits your place of work on a regular basis to support and conduct work based assessments.

LSC funded subject to status and locality with course fees of 550.
