Course Content: Working in Childcare provides a wealth of employment opportunities and is one of the largest employment sectors in the country. It covers a wide range of career opportunities including teaching, nursery manager, nursery nurse, social services and sociology. This course will give you the skills and knowledge to kick-start a career in childcare.

This is a practical, work-related course. You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. The course is designed to include development of personal and practical skills in preparation for further study or work.

Whilst studying on the course you will learn about how the body grows and develops, how to maintain health and safety practices in home and care settings and how to care for children.
