Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English.

The Cambridge English exams have an international reputation and are widely recognised by companies and Universities throughout the world. The Examinations test all four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. Examinations take place in June.
This examination, at post First Certificate level, will offer a high level final qualification in English Language to those wishing to use English in their jobs. CAE is also designed to encourage the development of the skills required by students progressing towards the certificate of Proficiency with the emphasis very much on real-world tasks.
You will already have a reasonable command of English. You will be interested in doing this course because you want to improve your English still further and you are interested in gaining aninternationally recognised qualification in Englishthat may be useful for work or study purposes
Entry RequirementsYou will be able to speak and write English well. Your level will be determined at interview by means of diagnostic test. Interview and assessment takes 1 1/2 hours.
Interviews are held at Paget Road Campus.

Course Content
The course aims to develop your spoken and written English Skills to the standard of this Exam. Classes are full of discussion with practice in all 4 skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening) to Advanced level and practises the tasks set in the exam.
Purchase of a course text book is required..
The Course starts Sept 2009 and finishes June 2010.

Regular Writing / Reading
Assessments are set which mirrors the tasks set in the exam.
Examinations are in June each year.
What can I do next?
Students can progress onto the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
