The training will concentrate on the following objectives, gas safety legislation, emergency actions and procedures, pipework and fittings, unsafe situations, emergency isolation valves and controls, tightness testing, gas supply/appliance regulators, combustion, the use of flue gas analysers, safety devices, re-establishing gas supplies and relighting appliances and catering fueling and ventilation. Suitable for operatives working in commercial kitchen environments and concentrate on the specific requirements relating to the installation of catering appliances and pipework.

Catering Training and Assessment
A range of assessments are available for operatives involved in the installation of appliances and pipework in commercial kitchen environments.
The route to catering competence is via a generic non domestic core with commercial catering-specific modules.
What ACS assessments are available?
- CCCN 1 - Generic catering core.
- COMCAT 1 - Boiling burners, open/solid top ranges, hotplates, warming ovens, bain maries and hot cupboards.
- COMCAT 3 - Deep fat and pressure fryers, bratt pans, griddles, grills (over fired and under fired), simulated charcoal grills and salamander grills.
- CoDC 1 - Domestic NG Core to Catering Core changeover.
- CoCATA 1 - Domestic NG appliances to catering appliances.
- ICPN 1 - Installation and first fix commercial pipework.
- TPCP 1 - Strength, tightness testing and direct purging of industrial and commercial installation pipework.
- TPCP 1A - Strength, tightness testing and direct purging of low pressure NG industrial and commercial installation pipework.
