Course programme

Course Content:
• You will develop an understanding of the nature of clay and its possibilities
• You will learn how to prepare clay for use on the wheel
• You will be able to make upright and open forms ( including handles and footrings)
• You will learn how to glaze and otherwise decorate your own work
Assessment Methods:
Please bring on your first day:
Apron or ‘workshop’ clothes
Small hand towel
Sketchbook and pen/pencil
Any tools you have.

You will be required to pay for your clay by weight. The price includes glazes and firing. There are additional charges for special firings.
There are starter packs available for £30. This includes 5kg of clay and an 8 piece tool starter set.


Materials are paid separately according to weight.
